Sustainability at Teesside Empowerment Group CIC
At Teesside Empowerment Group CIC, we believe that looking after our mental health goes hand-in-hand with looking after the planet. That’s why we strive to embed sustainability into everything we do—from the way we travel, to how we use space and resources in the community.
Greener Journeys
Our team and participants regularly car share to sessions and events wherever possible. Not only does this reduce emissions, it also strengthens peer connections—turning commutes into meaningful conversations.
Active Outdoor Wellbeing
We make the most of local outdoor spaces for activities like walking sessions, football, and paddle tennis. This reduces our reliance on energy-intensive venues and fosters a natural connection to the environment.
Low-Waste Practices
From reusable equipment bags to digital-first communications, we keep single-use items to a minimum. When we use printed materials, we choose local eco-conscious suppliers.
Local, Community-Based Delivery
By using venues and facilities close to our participants, we reduce travel impact and reinvest in the neighbourhoods we serve.
Our approach to sustainability is evolving—but always intentional. We care about the wellbeing of our communities and the environment they live in.
